Physics, for most people, doesn’t appeal much, but for some artists who are wooed towards science can help them come up with creative artistic ideas. One such among the massive field is the hologram.

Holograms have been around us for many years since its invention in the 1940s. A hologram is simply a photographic recording of a light field, rather than of an image formed by a lens used to display a fully 3D-image of the subject that is seen without at the aid of special glasses or optics. When suitably lit from the proper distance, the interference pattern diffracts the light into a reproduction of the original light field and the objects that were in it appear to still be there, exhibiting visual depth cues such as, parallax and perspective that change realistically with any change in the relative position of the observer.
